I thought I would get better with keeping my word on starting a schedule and actually pushing out my works but in my honest defense…I’m extremely mentally unwell plus my muse periodically dies out due to my lows. 🙂↕️!!
And it does not help that I don’t write all my works ahead of time! Which I should start doing then letting excitement take over and impulsively publishing things…but what can I say, I love doing it! 🥹🫶

Also as an ao3 writer I find it hypocritical how half the wattpad users are complaining about the censorship on wattpad, yet are reporting and complaining about the non censorship on ao3. Pick a struggle.
I use wattpad because i like making covers plus not everyone was on ao3…I also enjoyed ao3’s tagging.
Do know that the creators who made ao3 were (or are) unfortunately wincest shippers and no work on ao3 truly gets reported, which is why it is best for those to learn how to work the filters in ao3!
You can exclude everything you don’t want to see on ao3 in your filters. Yes, some writers will not always tag what’s within their works but majority of the ao3 writers will thank you if you notify how they left something untagged!
Anyways, enough ramble. I think a lot of people are being very dramatic on the wattpad censorship…? It’s very easy to bypass something they won’t really enforce!

@notyourhyeong exactly, plus I re-read the wattpad guidelines yesterday I don't really see the issues here. You can still write what you want, you just can't make whatever you want the WHOLE main premise of it. So, basically no one-shot books for straight up sex, torture, or other things along those lines. They are giving guidelines, yes. But, as long as it is to help further the plot you are good. Wattpad is a site/app where lots of stories are getting published by actual companies and getting featured. Of course wattpad would want some rules in place to make the jobs of those people easier. Wattpad has tagging, too. Is it as in depth as AO3, no. But that's a different issue. Overall, people are taking things waaay too far and being hypocrites.

@notyourhyeong that's a lesson I learned the HARD way, but I didn't report the work because the lack of awareness on my part! AO3 runs on the idea of "DON'T LIKE? DO NOT READ" Check tags. Check pairings. EVERYTHING can be filtered. AO3 is for adults / people who are mature enough to appreciate it. If that's not you, then you don't need to be on AO3 in the first place.

Those who are new to Ao3…learn how to use the FILTER! You’re entering someone’s house, be respectful. Ao3 is on a whole ANOTHER level than wattpad.

Hey! If you’re not familiar with the period please do your research and not just by watching shows! Shows can be misleading. As a fellow reader myself, I want people to look into the political situation of such periods. Do not brush it away. So so many things i have watched and read tend to do this. Fictional or not when you set a time period I think it’s best to be semi realistic! People want to know what’s happening to the surrounding people not just your characters! I want to know what’s happening outside of the characters’ world!

People discontinuing a fic because of the canon character’s death as if fanfic writers don’t have the power to rewrite it…I love rewrite fics!! Yes, rewrite how that one character didn’t die!! Do it!!
