Simon Hartmann, born in 1992 in Henstedt-Ulzburg, north of Hamburg, wrote his first fantastical stories while still at school. 
After vocational training and further education in banking, he completed several university degrees at the renowned Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He initially worked in banks and then switched to management consulting. 
He lived abroad as a child, travelled through Europe, the USA and Asia as a teenager, learned to pilot gliders and ride horses. He later taught financial education through videos, podcasts and numerous online articles. 
His lifelong interests include history, art and literature, electronic music, playing the piano, tennis and Formula 1. 
Simon Hartmann lives in Berlin with his future wife.
