THE SUFFOCATING DARKNESS shrouded me, our eyes were clapsed by cloth and we were held in a cold room for a week. The tortured cries of the other mankind clawed their way through the void along with the riots of intimidation and coercion by the foe. These cries were not merely cries of fear; they were the agonized pleas of those subjected to unspeakable hell. The instrument of torment, a cruel creation of those men, inflicted unimaginable pain upon those who refused to speak. Each refusal was met with an escalation of suffering, as the machinery twisted and contorted the bodies of the defiant into hideous shapes. Despite the horror unfolding around me, I remained silent, inviting the same fate upon me.
But for all its worth, I might die today. I will die someday.
And so, as the screams of the other man echoed off the walls of our lockup, I clung to the hope that someday, somehow, someone would find us and take us away from this nightmare hellscape. It was not just the darkness that gripped me in its icy embrace. Suddenly, a putrid stench assaulted my senses, a noxious odor that clawed its way into every fiber of my being. It was as if the very essence of decay had manifested itself before me, filling the air with its foul presence and choking me with its malice. Try as I might to escape, the sound of gunfire silenced all the flocks, only the roar of a sigh of fear was heard afterward, ensnared by forces beyond my comprehension. Each moment seemed to stretch on for eternity, a relentless onslaught of intimidation and desperation that threatened to consume me whole. And as I tied up here, paralyzed by fear, I knew that I would truly lost in the darkness, with nothing but the echoes of misery, with the scream of despair.
