- What is the plan?
I know I’ve had trouble sticking to schedules, and with my current situation, I can’t guarantee anything. However, I have a rough schedule in mind. I plan on finishing all of the rewrites before posting anything, which includes finally finishing Bonds Part 2 (which is the only other part in the story). However, there's an issue I haven't addressed: AO3. I want to make sure both platforms are updated on them, but I don't want to push everything out at once because that will overwhelm AO3 users with content...
So... the plan isn't clear yet, but I intend go through the upload process at a semi-consistent rate (perhaps weekly). I might post Bonds Part 2 on Wattpad early so that you guys get a special treat, but don't hold me to it. After updating to Bonds Part 2, we'll go back to a usual routine that (hopefully) involves me getting chapters out faster than I was before.
I know it’s taken a while, but I promise I haven’t forgotten about you all. Your support for my stories about Ori and his family means so much to me. I don’t want to stop sharing stories; I’ve never wanted to give up on them, and I apologize if you felt like I had. I'm very thankful for your patience with my life giving me the runaround, but I promise stories are always being written! Thank you for understanding my position, and I hope you have a wonderful day! I'll be back... I promise!

- What about the short stories?
Even with my life changing, I’ve still been working on the short stories because I love them. Writing the remake of the original story was fulfilling, and it showed me how much I’ve improved since the original. This experience also gave me insight into the short stories, which brings me to both good and bad news.
The bad news is that after finishing the remake, I decided to comb over the short stories again... and remake them. I decided to revise the short stories I had already written. Why? Several reasons: Improving grammar, add content that made the stories better and smoother. But the most important reason was... I gained some perspective after writing the original story, and I learned what was I originally doing... or rather, what I wasn't doing. There was something about them as a collective that was... missing or being severely overlooked, and I didn't want to progress through them until I addressed that. So, yes, I'm doing more rewrites of stuff I've already done... but it'll be different this time.
I plan to replace the old drafts with the new versions since they will better follow my current narrative. But the good news is I'm already up to Conversing in my rewrites, so the wait won't be that much longer... hopefully.

(1/3) Hey, everyone! It’s been a while since I posted, so I wanted to update you on what’s happening with me and the stories.
- Where have I been? What have I been doing (besides writing)?
I haven't shared much about my life publicly, but I think it's necessary to explain what's been going on. A little before I finished the remake, I graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Before graduation, I had plenty of time to balance schoolwork and my hobbies, like writing those dang stories. Since then, I’ve been trying to get a job in the tech industry, but, as many of you know, it's... not been the best of times for the industry, with mass layoffs, tech rivalries, AI taking over the world, and plenty more. I’ve sent out many job applications, but I haven’t received a single interview request. My portfolio wasn't strong enough, so I’ve been working on coding individual projects to improve my skills and hopefully find a job down the line. I'm lucky to have a part-time job nearby to earn some money, but life has been tough. Writing stories has been my best escape, but I struggled to focus on them for so long... but I'm getting back in the groove!
I apologize for dumping my stress out, but I felt like it was necessary to explain how my life has changed...

I'm so happy I found you! I am also a D&D fan, as well as a BOTW and TOTK. I've been reading your stuff as I said before, maybe you'd like to check out my stuff too.

Hey numrex! I am also a Ori fan and I have recently begun a Ori fanfiction series. Later I plan on a Wotw book 2 and a few other things. I just wanted to let you know I have been reading your stuff and have followed you. Maybe you would be interested in my stuff too! It's nice to see other Ori fans being creative. Thx!

So...I may have been gone for...3 years after reading the original. But after looking at the old posts here in conversations and the old comments in the original, I will finally post/comment again!
Seeing all the challenges: personal problems, free time to writing being non-existent and definely some burnout or blockages here and there. (I have never been a writer and yes a artist, but because of this I have a ideia of how it is and how horrible it is).
Yet despite all this, you still here, writing the shorts and doing the remake of my favorite Ori fanfic that I will DEFINELY read! (I also need to read the shorts)
About your posts of being sorry about the slow work pace, being busy and taking breaks. It's okay, who loved to read about the Spirits Within will be back to read and see more of the world you building, I'm literally a perfect example! I have been gone for 3 years and now look where I am posting here! Yes, it's slow pace but everthing takes time, nothing is instaly.
Well, why I'm writing all this? Well, to again say "Thank You!" and also this time "Congrats!". In the end I'm only here to support you and by what I have seen, I'm not the only one. Yeah we all are only 33 followers. Yet, here we all are. Funny how life works.

Thanks for the heartwarming support and thanks. It is really appreciative, especially since I’ve worried if my slow work ethic had cost me something when taking so long to update/post. I do think I’ve learned a lot about what the best course of action is when writing, and I’m definitely going to apply that knowledge (but I can’t for these because I’ve already written everything or mostly everything). Anyways, thanks for commenting on my works!

“Oh yeah… it’s all coming together.”
Thought to give an update and an apology for my slow work pace, but I believe it’s all coming together nicely. It’s weird that I spent so much time on something that doesn’t change much of the original story. The main reason for remaking this was to enhance the original story before reposting it to AO3. But hey, I’m happy with how it turned out.
Furthermore, I think I learned a valuable lesson from my time working on the Short Stories and the remake. Trying to do every little bit of writing before posting is… not great. I’d probably have a much easier time working on one or two chapters at a time before moving on. So… I think I’ll do that from now on, but it doesn’t matter much (considering the staggering amount of work I already did on the short stories). Next time, though, I’ll learn my lesson.
As for posting the remake of the Spirits Within… it starts on October 4th at the latest, and from there, I’ll post chapters daily. It’s still the same number of chapters as before (29 including prologue and epilogue), so it’s about a month’s worth of releases. Again, the story doesn’t change much of anything except for making the story as a whole more fluent, grammatically correct, and make more sense both for the characters and plot. I’m sorry the (unnecessary) remake took so long, but it’s almost done, and then it’s back to the short stories that will hopefully come out at a faster rate (no promises though). See you later!

No problem buddy ^^
If you felt the remake was needed then it’s fine
I might read the remake, or not, my college is not going to let me I think lol

Almost there… Almost…
