❙ ּ ֶָ 언니 * i’m everything you’re not, @jejufated. ⭒ it’s all too much for her to think about. she wanted to stumble around the topic of her eye ever since she answered the recall — but she knew well she couldn’t avoid talking about it /forever/, (archambeau wishes dearly to run away from the topic the same way she ran away from haneul. but she’s ran out of room to run, and it’s time for the girl to face her fears.). the topic of what happened that night leaves her mouth dry, leaving a rotten taste. she stumbles on her words, looking down to the ground as ashamed. “i don't,” then, she pauses, clenching her jaw. she can remember that night like it was yesterday, the sound of the gunshot that had echoed into the night and the way gabriel, reaper, /whatever her father become/, had snarled at her. she remembers it all. the way haneul speaks hurts her in a way she’d never thought would, the horror in her voice, she feels betrayed. had gabriel ruined her that much? she didn’t want to know. she stands in front of haneul ashamed of who she’s become. tears form at the corner of archambeau’s eye before she finishes her sentence. “i don’t want to talk about it, haneul– hanny, 언니, .. /he’s ruined me, reyes, 내 아버지, he was supposed to protect me .. and .. . and ..” she chokes on her words before her walls break down completely. breaking down into tears, she holds onto her sister like it was the last time she’d ever see her again. she wanted nothing more than to be gifted with her sister’s touch, how she’d miss it. within the eight or so years the two had been separated, never had archambeau been in as much despair and loneliness as she had in all her years of life. it tore her apart, truly, no matter how many times reyes could shoot out her eye, no pain would ever hurt as much as the way her heart had ached. so she clings onto haneul for her life, for those eight years, almost as if to apologize for her absence, to apologize for leaving.
