@heolyheather | ah, the good old days when wattpad used to be buzzing with active accounts and fandoms and claiming a spot in a command game or roleplay was near impossible. i still remember when everyone and their mom was getting cancelled and whole books would be created to “post the evidence”. selection roleplays were also surging at the time, and there was the whole argument on whether or not roleplay responses should be multiple comments long since some roleplays required miminum 2k+ word responses lmao. it also involved a constant stream of complimenting the other roleplayers’ writing so you didn’t seem uninvolved. accounts could gain thousands of followers just for having a aesthetic theme, cool pen name, and nickname for their group of followers. i also remember being a part of the wattpad 2020 prom, as well as being exclusively invited to a wattpad hype house lmao. i was 11 when i joined wattpad and my first account got banned after i did an age reveal and got reported for being under the age requirement lol. i’m 18 and a senior in high school now and i definitely agree that wattpad is incredibly nostalgic
