what is there to do on wattpad now? it seems like command games have died out, roleplays and apply fics don’t look like they’re getting past the first stages, and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of people on here anymore. most of the people i followed from my old account have been inactive for years

@heolyheather | ah, the good old days when wattpad used to be buzzing with active accounts and fandoms and claiming a spot in a command game or roleplay was near impossible. i still remember when everyone and their mom was getting cancelled and whole books would be created to “post the evidence”. selection roleplays were also surging at the time, and there was the whole argument on whether or not roleplay responses should be multiple comments long since some roleplays required miminum 2k+ word responses lmao. it also involved a constant stream of complimenting the other roleplayers’ writing so you didn’t seem uninvolved. accounts could gain thousands of followers just for having a aesthetic theme, cool pen name, and nickname for their group of followers. i also remember being a part of the wattpad 2020 prom, as well as being exclusively invited to a wattpad hype house lmao. i was 11 when i joined wattpad and my first account got banned after i did an age reveal and got reported for being under the age requirement lol. i’m 18 and a senior in high school now and i definitely agree that wattpad is incredibly nostalgic

I felt this. (Going through random profiles for nostalgia). 2014-2020 was where it was at. Now that everyone is grown up, it seems like it’s really died; at least for the warriors fandom.

I remember when I created this account. I was 12 and in sixth grade. Now I’m almost 23, and on my last year of college. It’s so weird

shout out to the only two roleplays i ever finished that i go back and read because they were so iconic (a selection roleplay with a heavy plot that lasted almost a year that i won and a hunger games roleplay that ended with everyone dead and an emotional attachment to all the characters)
