Reading stories on here is great but why do the main characters always have to be push overs. Like they never tell their best friend 'no'. Like can't they state their opinion with out their BFF completely disregarding their feelings and opinions. Like can't the main character have some type of confidence and a backbone. Now, i'm not saying they have to be bitchy and rude ALL the time, but a person can only take so much bossing around from their supposed best friend. Can't the best friend back off if the main character doesn't want to talk about a certain topic. Like why does the BFF need to know every single detail of every conversation they have with someone that isn't them. I mean, people keep secrets from their friends. No one tells someone EVERYTHING.
It drives me insane because why does every time the main character talks to a boy/girl they automatically have to have a crush on them. Like no, i was just asking about this book in the library. I mean the character can't have normal conversation with out their nosey friend insinuating something. Like can i find a book where the main character has somewhat of a backbone and the best friend knows their boundries.
