@oOSkyzTheLimitOo To be honest I should be editing a lot too as I mostly just posted what I had written right away but I’m lazy af lol and using the complete button (because technically my books are complete) actually really boosts you in the algorithm. I found I got a lot more attention from completed works than not which makes sense, seeing as some people rather than following as I write, prefer to wait for the final product, which I can relate with lol. I just wanted to check if you knew only because I find a lot of people complete stories and then forget to flip the switch, or they didn’t even know the switch did much haha. Anyways I find that editing stuff is best if you haven’t read your work in a long time, since it’s easier to see mistakes. That being said, reading my old stuff is cringe haha Behind the Flames is a long story so if you managed to edit that sucker completely you’re a champ and I salute you XD
I noticed your note on Behind the Flames concerning the Mini Ladd situation. To be honest, as a writer I was horrified too with the events that happened, thus I removed all my stories containing certain individuals as the main pair (although it hurt to do so seeing as some of those books were my proudest). In the end it’s up to you on what you want to do, but if I was you, I’d keep the book up simply because you aren’t advertising these individuals as the main couple. My books and one shots that had Lui or Mini as mains were unpublished (I couldn’t bear to completely delete them), but any other books that had these individuals as side couples and not the complete focus I kept. Just thought I’d let you know seeing as we are both in the same boat. Otherwise, I hope you had happy holidays and stay safe :) I always loved all the effort you put into Behind the Flames and I don’t think Mini Ladd is a big enough part to ruin the whole book, especially with all that H2OVanoss emphasis.
@oOSkyzTheLimitOo Yeah no problem! I mean, it was a little tedious but for the books I kept up, I just removed all tags that use Mini or Lui in all way shapes or forms, so unless someone is actively looking up H2OVanoss, any other ships that involve those two or their names won’t be bringing me traffic anymore. I’d rather promote them as little as possible in the algorithm. I also put disclaimers for all of my books so that ppl who read know that it was written before everything went down, since I didn’t replace their characters in my stories as it kinda ruins them. But yeah, it’s clear your book is targeted towards H2OVanoss audiences so just stick to that and don’t bring attention to the MiniCat and DaithideLui in your tags is probably the best way to go if you don’t want to remove your book, but feel bad about having those characters into it.
