I started writing when I was in JSS 3 (equivalent to the ninth grade) and I haven't stopped since then. The Jovians: Meet them, is the first book that I have ever published (so I'm super-excited!). The main reason behind my decision to publish this book was because of a nagging desire I felt to build an audience. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in my book, and I even started dreaming about getting lucky and maybe being able to discuss the stories I'm trying to tell with the few people willing to hear them. 
Okay, so I'll tell you a little bit about my creative background, which means that I have to start from the beginning. As a teenager, I was influenced by Chimamanda Adichie and Stephenie Meyer and I remember thinking about how much I wanted to write like them. As I grew older, my interests started to grow from Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, all of Judith McNaught's books, Kate Quinn's Empress of Rome series, Francine River's Mark of the Lion series, to Cherise Sinclair's Masters of the Shadowlands series (I know, this is a very diverging set). I found something in each of these writers' works that I wanted to grab onto and never let go of. I also got introduced to Netflix and immediately became a not so anonymous Netflix addict. I learned to love shows and movies from the variety available and I was so impressed by the level of creativity of the writers, that I started creating worlds of my own. So, in short, my writing style comes from an attempt to bring to life the characters and places that dwell in my head (because I am also a crazy day-dreamer) which have been influenced by all the books I've read and the things I've watched.
