Black lives matter. If you are the person who continues to focus only on the riots and the “violent” aspect and proceed to undermine the movement because of it, YOU are the problem. You choose to ignore the numerous peaceful protests. You choose to ignore that it is the police who start the violence with rubber bullets and tear gas. You choose to ignore how the police are trapping the protestors, preventing them from leaving, so that they can arrest them after curfew. You choose to ignore how a number of black people, black children, are dying and going missing after every protest. You choose to ignore how most of the looters and people breaking the property of small businesses are ppl doing it for fun, white supremacists trying to make the good protestors look bad, and thieves. You choose to ignore how it is the protestors cleaning up after the looters and also trying to prevent them from break stuff. You choose to ignore how the property of big businesses and road stuff that get damaged, are replaceable, while black lives are not. You choose to ignore how riots and peaceful protest have brought social/political change for centuries: Malcolm X, MLK, the entire French Revolution, the Boston Tea Party/American Revolution, the Hong Kong protests, and countless more. Yet when black people do it, it’s disgusting and shameful. All they ask for is the chance to live in America unafraid, and if the police’s response is rubber bullets and tear gas, that speaks volume to the corrupt government and police system, the racism that “America the Great” has never let go of. ✊✊✊✊✊ ❤️

          Hi Melisa,
I was curious because it's good to see someone with a good enough vocabulary to know the difference between complement and compliment.

I checked out the blurb on your incomplete book and have some comments:

          1. I suggest changing the tag from Ongoing to Discontinued.

          2. You got four chapters further than I ever did.

          3. The idea for your book seems like a good one - Maybe you could find a good author to pass it on to, along with any notes, in exchange for acknowledgement that it was your idea.

          4. Typo: blurb says ".… she is the brother of..."

#3 & #5. You are very frank girl. Don't take my comment on Dismissing Dakota to heart. I was just pissed off that someone would comment so heartlessly on a book. You must know how much hardwork it takes to write a book since you are a writer yourself yet you decided to write so much hurtful things. Please be little less heartless the next to comment. By the way you are a cool bitch ;)

@obnoxious_panda Someone is in a bad mood. And yes I'm young, very young. And I can deal with criticism a lot, considering I have to deal with it every day. The book offended you and now I do understand your point. I can be very mature when someone says hate words to someone else who puts effort. Note the sarcasm. And sometimes you do have to live in a fairy tale when everything is against you in the real world. You too have a good day.
            P. S. A little kindness doesn't hurt.

@princess_of_hatred I get your point, but I disagree. I will not apologize or be kind to a book that makes a joke out of rape and suicide. The book was a mess, it had no clear plot and never answered the main questions like who started the fire. It was like a really bad fever dream. On top of that, it was really insensitive towards major issues in our world. A book like that doesn’t deserve my respect or kindness, it deserves to be called out. The comment you originally replied to was actually the nicest comment I’ve left when I’m feeling angry abt a terrible book, you’re reaction tells me a lot abt your age and level of maturity. Wake up, we don’t live in a fairytale world where everyone and everything is perfect and nice: criticism, harsh criticism, exists. And if you can’t handle that then you cannot survive a second in the real world. Have a nice day.

@obnoxious_panda I never said that your criticism is wrong. Constructive criticism is very necessary for a person to develop his/her talents. But a little hurtful one could do the work. When you look at the comments after all the hardwork you have done and it comes out that harsh, it hurts. It makes the writer to stop writing. It discourages the writer to lose confidence in himself/herself. The book wasn't that much harsh on some people and it wasn't exactly detailed at some time. It wasn't a mess, but a few edits could make that book amazing. I'm telling you to be sugary about it. But saying that this book is a mess and criticizing it so harshly is disheartening. You could always keep your point in a less hurtful manner. Hope you get my point.

Some authors can't take criticism these days, and it makes me wonder why they chose to write a book in the first place. Why not use the criticism to make your book better, instead of blocking me. -_-

@obnoxious_panda so here I am going through the list of the people I'm following, and I stumble across you. Honestly, I think the world needs more people like you cause there are a lot of people who are in dire need of constructive criticism. I've seen authors go off on people commenting about why they didn't like something - I've actually been blocked on numourous occasions as a result - and I just wanted to let you know that I completely understand where you're coming from. (And honestly I don't even think you're that rude about it ; when you stopped reading my book you gave clear and understandable reasons and were overall just really polite, and I don't think I ever told you how much I appreciated that, so thank you.) Keep doing what you're doing, because you're telling people what they need to hear in order to better themselves and their writing <3<3
