A huge shoutout to the book “A Ghost’s Wish” by @Hopestrife. This story was so incredible that I literally gave up sleep just to binge-read the entire thing — and now I’m emotionally destroyed and sleep deprived
I’ve read many rebirth stories on Wattpad before, but nothing — and I truly mean nothing — comes close to this. Most rebirth stories repeat the same patterns: the leads make the same mistakes again, or some magically perfect new character appears out of nowhere. It often feels artificial.
But this book? Every character, every connection, every scene feels meaningful and deeply woven together. The plot is beautifully crafted. After rebirth, the main lead doesn’t stay trapped in the past — he learns, grows, and strives to become better every single day. Watching him surpass even great leaders and earn the respect, loyalty, trust, love, and admiration of everyone around him was genuinely inspiring.
What makes this story even more powerful is that the people he lost in his previous life were given their own happy endings. It showed that his choices mattered — that he truly fought for his people, his family, his friends, his comrades, and his soldiers.
That is what a true leader looks like.
The title “Ghost” fits him perfectly — for his sacrifices, his pain, his strength, his suffering, and his unwavering devotion. And honestly? He deserved this ending far more than the one he had in his previous life.
Can’t wait to read the second book!!
