@idontneedaname3000 i completely agree with you abou how people should do a lot of research of both sides and not just believe everything they see, but the way i see the situation currently there is only one correct side. because what is happening is happening to innocent civilians and there are people celebrating it, not just from hamas. and it’s just so sad and so sickening

I know it sucks, but there not much we can do
Sadly a lot of people who don’t live here and have no actual information on what’s really going on get a lot of their data from social media and unreliable sources that are usually partial to one side.
But if anyone here sees this and wants to give their opinion or stand, I ask of you to please do your research!
And I mean on both sides before taking a stand.
Search about the different ways that territory is decided or changed (hint: there’s 3 types)
            Search about the independence war of Israel that took place in 1948;
Who started it, what happened, who won…
Look up the difference between rockets and missiles (btw Israel has missiles while Hammas uses rockets)
Find out who the Hammas are (THIS ONE IS REALLY IMPORTANT)
And look up what they stand for, how they operate, what they do.
Search about the history of the area, and what tribes or communities lived here throughout the centuries.
Search about the British Mandate, and how they handled the area between 1917-1948
(Especially in those last few years)
You can even find out what’s the Egypts stand on the Palestinians (who are the other country bordering them) to get another point of view from someone in the area that is impartial.
            And much more.
Please do your research, have your OWN opinion on the matter, DONT only listen what celebrities posts and say.
Don’t make hating on one country and supporting another a trend, because as easy and as simple as it may seem to you from the safety of your homes, far away; for the people living here, on both sides, it’s not as easy
And please be respectful of each other’s opinions.
Remember it’s and actual war, not a football game where you choose sides

i have like this constant feeling of worry and fear and i just want it all to stop..

It’s gonna be okay, I know it sounds stupid and I myself find it hard to believe; but we have to work together and get through this. We have a strong army and a country that after months of being divided is working together. It’s difficult and I myself have had a breakdown almost every day since the war started out of fear. But it will end, and we will stand together. Because our army and forces are stronger than anything they’ve ever had.
And this time we won’t hold back
Try to distract yourself, watch a movie, turn the news off every once in a while

oh and for yasnitmbm fanfic writers, if you don’t know for some reason, all of the characters last names are JEWISH LAST NAMES! so it’s kind of weird that this singular character suddenly has a name that originates in other religions out of no where. if you do do that make sure it aligns with the storyline

it low-key pisses me off that even i fanfics ABOUT judaism, the author like doesn’t even mention it.
for example i just read a story about Andy Goldferb and the author fr didn’t even MENTION the fact that the main character is jewish and all of a sudden when they get into an argument she yells at him the exact same thing that stacy said to lydia.
and it pisses me.off because i never see popular media show judaism in a serious but not necessarily bad light, instead of just using it for comedy and stuff. and as a jewish tween i can say that this movie was quite accurate. and it’s not that they barely talked about judaism, or talk of it to much, the way the dialogue went is VERY similar to how i speak to my own friends and family. and to have the same people who constantly talk about race representation in media barley paying ANY mind to the story line of religion (which is a very big story line) is low-key kind of upsetting..
