Hi everyone! My name is Sara and l'm from Six Nations of the Grand River on Turtle Island (Canada). Like many others here, I love books and writing and have been working on writing stories for what feels like my entire life. I write a lot of different things, but for the most part my work falls in the realm of fantasy and science fiction, and I absolutely love work that celebrates Indigenous languages, knowledges and culture.

I love my people's stories-they've certainly helped me find my way in the world on more than one occasion, and so there are definitely times my work is inspired by this, by themes and events in Haudenosaunee history, myths and legends-as well as more recent experiences and reflections. And most of my work still has magic in it.

I took a short break from writing to complete my dissertation (and happily and successfully defended it in 2019). I'm now studying Kanienkeha (the Mohawk language) and while these studies take up quite a bit of my time, I'm finally starting to write again :).

I started my Wattpad account ages ago and am excited to still have a cool place to post a few stories. So here we go. Happy writing everyone!

And nya:weh (thank you) for reading! Hope you find something to enjoy :).
