Don't let haters' comments get to you! Your writing is truly amazing, and the story is very captivating. Personally, I usually struggle to read long books without getting bored, but in all of yours, you’ve managed to keep me hooked the entire time! Obviously, there will always be people who aren't completely satisfied with the way things play out, but the important thing is that you feel good about what you've written. If someone doesn't like it, they can simply stop reading, and that's it. The rest of us will stay here until the very end :)
Hey, wanted to come on here and leave a little message after your current update. Firstly I’d like to say thank you for sharing how you felt. I’m sorry that the feedback has been rather disappointing and harsh. Secondly, I’d say follow your own creative interest. If you already had a vision for how you wanted things to go, then do it. As a reader, I’ve really enjoyed the direction so far. At first I was a bit skeptical but the Will-they-won’t-they really hooked me and I just love drama. It quickly became a story I get excited to read when there’s an update. I personally appreciate how it’s different from other FFs and doesn’t have a stereotypical trope/direction where you’re getting married after a couple of months. I understand there’s a lot of expectation and pressure from many people but this is your form of art and I wouldn’t let people try to take control yk. There are other stories available to them on this platform and that’s what’s so cool abt it. The best thing you can do is apologize and move forward because it’s not an all size fits all type of book. I would even add in about the y/n mannerisms, like you mentioned, you don’t know Camila and you don’t know everyone else. Y/n is just a fictional character. If the mannerisms really were a ball curve for some people how come a g!p wasn’t? I’m sure most readers don’t have one. Not saying all, but a good handful of you don’t have a g!p. However, that’s more acceptable than y/n’s mannerisms?? I usually don’t really say anything or leave comments but I felt the need to reach out to you to let you know that you are appreciated and you’re doing great with the story. I hope this alleviates some of the stress that could come with all of this but I hope you feel better. Would love to connect! <3
