Hi! My name is Bee, and my pronouns are they/them. I am very adamantly in support of human rights - my friends and I are all part of the LGBTQ+ community. Beyond that, the idea that all humans deserve at the most basic level the same rights is one of my most deep-seated beliefs. This shows in my writing in the way I write characters who are a part of various little-shown minority groups, as well as fantasy governments that actually understand and work for the needs of the people. I have a great respect for published authors who try to do the same - the most recent one I've read being Hank Green's "An Absolutely Remarkable Thing" and "A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor", in which Green uses a diverse cast of characters and genderless body-switching space aliens to demonstrate how corrupt our world is in real life. I look up to Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett for "Good Omens", a story about how the world was almost destroyed by foolishness and saved by compassion. I also enjoy "Lord Of The Rings" and find great inspiration from it, even if I don't know much about J.R.R. Tolkien and don't really care to learn. Unfortunately, I rarely have the motivation, inspiration, and/or time necessary to actually sit down and write something, so I haven't been able to use those characters very much. I also haven't posted anything online or showed very much to my friends, because I am self-conscious of showing incomplete work to anyone, and I rarely finish enough of a story to feel confident enough to show it off. What I have written is bits and pieces of a fantasy novel, full of multi-punctuated sentences (my favorites are commas, hyphens, and parenthesis, but I like to spice things up with the occasional semicolon, too), with dramatic sentence spacing and formatting. I consider myself to be best at dialogue, I generally use very literal language excepting the occasional hyperbolic or sarcastic quip, and my favorite things of all are adjectives and being highly specific.
