            ah — so there is one thing  . - he asked. . hope could be seen twinkling in the eyes of the demon , yet desperation soon replaced those emotions as the devils words set in . there was something he could do ~ something that he would like . . there must be a catch , there’s always a catch . but , eli was far too curious to see that . the demon was willing to do whatever to get his position back , even if that meant screwing over elias . - tell me what i must do —

* he sucks in his teeth, taking in the tribrid’s promises and reassurance with a low hum, glancing at him through the side of his eye. a part of him wasn’t sure if he could even believe him again, this same man standing before him had left him time and time again- at first he was understanding but then he became irritable and there was only one thing standing in his way from claiming eli’s soul once and for all * i misspoke earlier… my apologies. there is / one / thing you can do for me. then and only then will we start your atonement. * his voice is low, nearly a whisper as a reassuring smile starts to curve his lips. one of his many tests had just started. he was nearly sure he would fail * and i think you’re gonna like this one…

            - the discomfort he felt was immense . the judgement that lingered within lucifer’s eyes seemingly made him feel like he had done so much wrong . the being smiling alleviated this feeling , yet that sense of relief quickly dissipated . - i understand , i know that being your right hand or even a prince does not come with a price . . significant tests of loyalty , paying for disobeying you for all these years — i know what i am getting involved in . . i want to prove to you that i can withstand it all . i desire to be your right hand again ~ a prince . . i want it / all / . i understand . - he said , binding his words with that final statement . -

            he’s not dead , elias is fortunately alive . . - the demon responded as his white irises rolled . - listen , i don’t get it either . . who would want a demon to take over their entire life so that they can cope in their mind . kinda odd , but i’ll take it — it’s beneficial to me . - he said with a grin , shrugging as his white irises remained focused on jack . - i don’t know how i’m supposed to help . i’ve gotten us out of / shit / situations before . . listen , i’ll admit that i did have / some / part in convincing him to allow me to take over . maybe a few false promises did arise , but i’m not going to do anything major . i can promise you that i’ll be on my best behavior and won’t get your son killed or worsen his state of mind . but , what i won’t do is sit here until his little pity party is over — a demon’s gotta live somehow ~

exactly. you’re his vessel and as far as i can tell he’s not dead, he’s inside of your mind allowing you to / protect / him and we’ll be done when i say that we’re done. * he did it again, that separation, it still felt wrong but maybe “ eli ” had a point. he falls silent as he mentions the panic attacks, he hadn’t known about that and there wasn’t a justification for not knowing because he should’ve have suspected it. nights after coming back to earth for the first time were impossible, filled with night terrors and panic attacks that made his heart feel as though it would jump out of his chest in a fiery blaze. and what had jack done other than try to put a nice band aid on the pain his son was feeling through magic lessons and charms. * how are / you / going to let him heal? how is hiding him in his own mind while you use him for your sick games supposed to help?… i may not have been the best father and i get that but surely you can’t have his best interests in mind.

            this / vessel / is elias’s , but i’m NOT elias . didn’t i / just / explain that to you or do you think your son is that dramatic ? i get it jack , you’re tired of the same story being recycled by him over and over again . he’s been through a lot and none of us care at this point . . but , even though he’s escaped hell and is perfectly fine , he can’t deal . he can’t function on a daily basis . have you been there for the panic attacks , the moments where he’s screaming and literally / nothing / is in front of him ? / no / . you’re there when he truly needs it , but not at his darkest hour . . i may be a demon , but this kid is truly fucked up . . whether he’s fallen into dark pits or not , he’s got a lot of healing to go . . so let him heal , and in the meantime . . i’m HERE and i’m going to have FUN . so , are we done here ? i think we’re done . there’s nothing left to clarify .
