Poseidon was the picture of fatigue — eyes shadowed, jaw tight, the storm in his veins restless. When Hypnos appeared, the tension in the air shifted, softened, like the sea exhaling after too many waves.
“You always do that,” Poseidon said, half smiling, half surrendering. “Make the world quiet.”
His gaze lingered, fond and heavy with unspoken things.
“I’d ask what trick you use, but I think it’s just you.
will you smile? i really don’t need you sulking about right now.
When Hypnos drifted near, the sea seemed to hush — the waves slowing their rhythm, the foam gentling to silence. Poseidon lounged on a slick rock, eyes half-lidded, his trident resting across his knees.
“You walk where few dare, dream-weaver,” Poseidon said, voice carrying like thunder over calm waters. “Careful. The ocean has its own kind of sleep — and it drowns those who mistake it for peace.”
He looked over his shoulder, a wry smile tugging at his lips.
“Still… I wouldn’t mind seeing what you’d make of my dreams, if I had the courage to let you in.”

how do we feel/how are we feeling about the potential new face claim for hypnos? what are your thoughts?
it may be a temporary face claim change, i’m undecided & uncertain- i may change his face claim back to alexander karim as lews therin telamon from the wheel of time series on amazon prime video, or i may try and search for/find a different face claim for him, or i may keep this face claim, i just don’t know at this point in time

the last thing sofia remembered was how cold the rain felt against her hot tears, and how /tired/ she was. they felt it in their bones, the ache that they’ve been carrying for days on end. oh, how it weighed their shoulders down and beat dull against their skull. it was a feeling they’ve known for so long it was a part of them. constant and unyielding.
but when sofia opened their eyes, they found themself, for the first time in a while, in a state of ease, of peace. and as the fogginess of sleep slowly left her eyes, she sat up assessing the odd familiarity that came with the land of sleep and dreams.

sofia returned his smile, a sense of relief washed over her to see her dad. she got up, dusting off nothing from her now dry and clean clothes. “ hi, dad, ” they wrapped their arms around the god’s torso. the father and child haven’t talked in a while, which was okay, he’s a god with duties and responsibilities, but lately sofia wasn’t sleeping, meaning she wasn’t visiting the dreamscape. it felt odd, not being in a place she considered home.
she dropped her arms, looking up at the god. “ it’s funny, i don’t remember falling asleep this time. ” sofia told him, for a second she wondered if she was back at camp half blood dreaming or still in the city. “ how have you been, father. ”

⏾⋆.˚ ⋆°•☁︎⋆【 @cozydreams 】 ⏾⋆.˚ ⋆°•☁︎⋆ hypnos sensed sofia’s presence before they had even drifted into the dreamscape, he felt her exhaustion, the ache that she had been carrying for days on end, which weighed their shoulders down and had settled into their bones, beating dull against her skull. the ache that the demigod felt, constant and unyielding, known for so long by her that it was a part of them, was a part of hypnos also. the god of sleep would alleviate sofia’s pain and exhaustion with his powers/his abilities, replacing her suffering with a state and feeling of peace. hypnos appeared before his demigod child, a warm and kind smile gracing his features. “hello, sof” he spoke, his voice gentle, soothing, and soft. his violet eyes were tired, matching sofia’s own tired eyes. ⏾⋆.˚ ⋆°•☁︎⋆ / / you’re ever so welcome! <3 i’m so sorry if my writing is terrible </3 i like the idea of them meeting before also!! i feel the same way!! they would definitely talk/meet often!
