I know they still use boats for shipping my mom has to ship millions dollars worth of items every month to china. She uses boats. What I was saying was at first I thought they were high tech boats like today which I bet that's what they are right? 
          
          Where as when I found out he was a pirate I thought it was a pirate ship type boat then I remembered the jet ski's and no way did they hav ethose back in that time period. So I'm a little confused on if your story is a now day pirate story or what. But I"m sure that will all be answered when I go back and read it.
