I’m so scared to start my charles xavier story because I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish it ahhh

Hey there. Hope this question doesn't come across as offensive because it isn't meant to be, but I noticed that your other books have had male love interests. Is it safe to assume Phoenix is going to be the same? I don't want to get my hopes up, so if the undetermined love interest is guaranteed to be male no matter what it would be good to know ahead of time, I just figured I'd ask since I don't really read any male focused stories nowadays.

Either way, I hope you see nothing but success with the book. Even if it isn't my cup of tea, I can see based on the introduction that you have a wonderful concept going for you! ❤️

@ohmyydarling Yep. There was a severe lack of sapphic characters. In some ways, it felt like they wanted gay representation but being down with the lesbians isn't as 'cool' as being down with the gay guys. And in a lot of ways, I feel like that's because of the double standard. Most guys find two women hot, whereas women won't generally care. But two guys? Now that's something that gets attention, because it's not something that'll be seen as a 'joke' if that makes sense. It shouldn't be that way, but unfortunately it feels like it is.

And hey, Arden popped off in KDH. She might be the singing voice, but she did voice the main protagonist of that movie, and it was a massive success.

@ohmyydarling Nah I absolutely agree. As far as I recall, the only sapphic relationship we saw in the show was between a girl and her very much recently dead girlfriend.

Whereas the gay guys got a permanent fixture in Danny, and for a brief time Ethan as well.

It was almost like the creators were allergic to giving any minority screen time as a main character. Kira being the obvious exception, and even then there's a reason why Arden Cho didn't want to return for the movie, although I'll firmly believe she dodged a bullet by not showing up for that.
