okay so i have to say this because the internet is getting scary. if you believe that one single dominant power or political ideology should control all media, you are supporting fascism. so let's give examples. if you believe republicans and conservatives should have sole control over media narratives, you are a fascist. and if you believe that democrats liberals and leftists should have sole control over media narratives, you are still a fascist. if you believe in banning the diary of anne frank or the handmaid's tale, you are participating in fascism. and if you believe that mein kampf and elon musk's biography should be scrubbed from society, you are participating in fascism as well. if you believe in limiting or altering information to the people because you disagree with it, if you believe in the censorship of anything at all, if you believe that your ideal life is the one true way of living, even if you think you get a pass because you're "doing it for the right reasons," you are still participating in one of the core values of fascism and you are giving the far right a helping hand in doing what you were trying to fight against. i am continuously fucking terrified of the internet's influence in sweeping left-wing youth directly into the arms of conservatism. i urge you to please read speculative fiction on fascism if it helps you understand what is at stake. any novel by george orwell is a good start, but animal farm and 1984 are the foundation of what needs to be taught. please STOP accepting narratives from people on tiktok who have no idea what they're talking about.

TALK YOUR SHIT  really though you are 100% correct! i say this a lot, but sometimes you can be so far to the left that you end up to the right (politically, that is). it’s important to check yourself and get your information from diverse sources (whether or not you agree with them. i even watch fox news occasionally even though i despise most of their coverage of events and consider myself a leftist)

@okaywickersham and it's always them that use names you would see on poc people more as names for their kids. why can you pronounce it when a white person is named that but you can't pronounce it when it's a poc person?
