I understand the discussion around not streaming the HP tv show as it funds go directly towards JKR’s financing of inhumane legislation. I absolutely agree that there is zero necessity to stream the tv show and if it is an absolute need to watch (which I do not think it is) you can find hundreds of places to pirate the episodes. 
          
          What I do not understand is the shift on fandom creators, writers and artists specifically, as JKR does not profit from their work or content. That’s the whole point of fandom space, making a world we enjoy our own through creativity. Fanfic writers and artists specifically bring nothing to JKR. Writing fanfiction (specifically for fanon majority timelines like the marauders era or tom riddle era) is inherently harmless, imo. Calling people who write for HP cruel names and insults is ridiculous. We all consume problematic media by problematic creators (Marvel, Stranger Things, The Last of Us, A Song of Ice and Fire, etc) and the same people making these comments write for worlds built on zionism, misogyny, and propaganda.  
          
          Fandom spaces are FREE. You should turn your criticism to the people who actually fund JKR’s insanity and those are the ones actively buying new editions of the same books they can get on FB marketplace for a 1/3 of the price. The ones who spend money on the world whether it be at Universal, Gaming, Streaming, etc. Fandom space creators do not profit from fanfiction/art and neither does the evil hag.
          
          With all of that being said, fuck JKR and anyone who willingly fills her bank account.
