So many writers are leaving wattpad due to the new guidelines? What are the new guidelines that have many writers leaving?

@omelaswrites omg that’s my biggest fear, i’m so sorry to hear that :( wattpad seriously needs to get a better system, an official app banning people’s hard work because their bots literally don’t work is insane. although, tbh i do get where they’re coming from because i definitely think writers have been taking the smut too far— i’ve seen a handful of books romanticizing sa and abuse. so i get that but i just wish they were more precise with it and actually overlooked what books and accounts they are banning instead of just using bots that have literally never worked, ever.

Oh gotchu! Wattpad has become so difficult since 2020. They will delete books from authors for no reason. They deleted my previous account for no reason. The only book I had up was my current book and it had no smut. Hopefully they don’t delete some of the previous good books because their bot does a terrible job in detecting good book and bad books. @lanaalanalana
