@omelaswrites Hey love, I’m a new writer as well, I’d love to give you some tips. The thing I’ve learned here is that consistency is key! Look for writers with similar genres message them asking them to vote and read ur work! Even writers that have a lot of reads… trust me we all love to support each other. I used to be a reader before I wrote on here… we are always looking for new books, so you can always self promote to those readers. Also read other writers works and comment on them that is how you gain more attention for example reply to other comments say something engaging… trust me ur follower/reader count will go up.
Also, make sure you have good tags for ur stories and make sure they match the genre of it as well. That is the main thing and THE MOST IMPORTANT. Also create ur own tag for ur story so ur readers can find it more easily when ur views start to rise. Then Id like to add this bc if I didn’t say it then id be wrong… most readers pretty much go for completed stories bc they don’t like waiting for a chapter once every week. But If ur stories aren’t complete don’t rush it. Writing is art so it takes time… it’s something you love, u shouldn’t try and rush yourself to publish chapters.
One last thing don’t feel intimidated by big writers bc they all started from somewhere too. Literally reach out to them! They’ll help you.
