It is so fascinating reading Impurity with binge eating disorder. Because I relate so strongly both to Allesio and his addiction, and to Jade having to manage eating and food when food is so loaded
They are also just being so good for each other. Sio isn’t blaming Jade for not eating by saying, "You're being too stubborn," and Jade isn't telling Sio, "You're just not pushing yourself to get better."
They can't fully understand each others perspective, but they understand that, and they understand that that don't stop them from supporting each other. Sio makes sure she eats 3 times a day in front of him even though he doesn't really know outright why she struggles to eat, Jade being concerned when she sees Sio's triggers that he will get high even though she doesn't know why he gets high. It doesn't matter because the reason is not important to support each other on a day to day basis.
They also just magnify how shity my ex was to me and how some of the things I needed from him were not completely unreasonable, and I need a Jade or a Sio in my life.
