My name is Omaralexis Ochoa and I am an Honors College student at Florida International University (FIU) who is studying Marketing, and pursuing certificates in Social Media Analytics, and Marketing Research. I have worked primarily in brand development and digital marketing, drafting promotional plans to launch campaigns for various student/professional projects.

It was when I joined the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) that I received my start in marketing. I developed my first marketing campaign in 2012 for an anti-bullying initiative called Operation Eos during competition for DECA, alongside my project partners. This project achieved recognition at the Career Development Conference in Orlando, and moved on to the international competition in California during that same year. Another marketing project dubbed Operation Atlas succeeded Eos, which focused on promoting political awareness among high school students. This project also achieved international recognition, at the International Career Development Conference in Georgia, in 2013.

I have pursued other projects over the years, working alongside DECA and other organizations like the FIU Honors College. Most recently, I interned with Honors as a Peer Instructor, working with undergraduate students on a campaign which addressed issues within the University's services department. Utilizing market research strategies such as questionnaires, surveys, and focus groups, I led the students in determining how the office could be perceived more positively.

Aside from marketing, I also pursues my interests in photography and image design primarily through freelance ventures, and through my studies at Florida International University.
