Geoff Smith is the writer of hard-boiled P.I caper, 'The Golden Arcade'. 

Inspired by the genius of James Kelman, Geoff studied Literature to A-Level at night school, and then English Lit and I.T. at Canterbury Christ Church University College where he graduated with a 2.1 and the Victorian Literature prize.

He took a PGCE and has worked as an English teacher since the year 2000, working in East Kent and in Hertfordshire. 

He now lives with his wife and young son near the sprawling conurbations of Chelmsford and Harlow. 

He currently works as an English teacher at a state-funded secondary school.
