Here are some more facts: The average age for a sex slave is 12 and includes children as young as 4 Only 1-2% of slaves are ever rescued 1 in 100,000 European traffickers are ever convicted Every continent in the world has been involved in some kind of trafficking There are more slaves now than ever before-including when slavery was legal Lady Gaga's Bad Romance is about human trafficking and in the video she is getting sold to some Russians. Every 30 seconds another person becomes a victim of human trafficking Human trafficking is growing quicker than the weapons and drugs trade and in 5 years will be bigger than the drugs trade Girls are forced to 'service' up to 40 men every day The slave trade makes more than $32 billion a year, which is more than WALMART, COCA COLA and MCDONALDS combined. There might be 27 million people enslaved, but there are 7 billion who can make a difference. Unfortunately, nobody knows enough to do anything about it.
