I never planned on bringing my activism here. This page is an escape from the dreary reality I live.
          	
          	I know I have next to no followers on here. I'm new, I'm just starting out, and my niche isn't mainstream palatable, so the likelihood of this reaching far is improbable.
          	
          	Nevertheless, I will still speak my truth;
          	
          	In recent world news, the Israel—Hamas war has gained a lot of traction. World governments have been involved, and citizens are weighing in. 
          	
          	It is a gruesome war, rightfully named a genocide. Israel has relentlessly attacked Gaza, a state they created to contain Palestinians (the rightful owners of the land), playing victim and having the Western world at large pander to their barbarism. A lot of their anger/retaliation is supposedly directed at the Hamas and yet very few are Hamas operatives and thousands are innocent civilian lives that have been lost in this short period alone. Keep in mind, this is a war spanning back nearly a century.
          	
          	And dishearteningly, these are not the only people dying for unjust causes. Haiti, DRC, Sudan and so many more other countries are bleeding. These countries don't have as big a spotlight on them. 48 women are being raped every hour in Sudan! The capital city of DRC is on fire. 
          	
          	Being an empath so these things affect me deeply. My heart bleeds with deep sorrow for the innocent people caught in the crossfire of power and greed, evil and blood-thirst guised as righteousness.
          	
          	And that's why, I stand with Palestine. I stand with Sudan. I stand with all the countries that have been invaded. I choose to stand with humanity. Because I refuse to believe this carnage is our identity.
          	
          	I won't compromise, I won't agree to disagree. If anyone's views don't align with mine on this matter then that's a someone I don't want in my space.
