Today we remember the deaths of three great leaders of thought, sadly, and all for different reasons, were called to their eternal home on this date in 1963. Aldous Huxley (who we may call nothing short of a prophet in the order of Nostradamus ), C.S. Lewis (the great spiritual writer of fantasies in truth), and John Fitzgerald Kennedy (a leader of democracy, peace and compassion). As a Protestant, I do not believe in Purgatory. But if these three did meet in such a place, I am certain the Great Conversation is still going on today, 53 years later. And what a joy it would be to listen in!
