Dr. Osiris John Reaper's (An anagram, and pen name.) love for the works of Edgar Allan Poe sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling. Drawing from his experiences as a soldier, Dr. Reaper explores the blurred lines of war, camaraderie, and morality. His work as a recreational and marriage and family therapist deepened his understanding of relationships and the healing power of art and listening.

His debut novel, Even Half-Moons Smile, began as a dream that evolved over five years. Dr. Reaper strives to connect with readers on an emotional and spiritual level, inspiring growth and healing. Living with DID (dissociative identity disorder), he offers a unique perspective and encourages breaking free from restrictive norms.

Beyond writing, he enjoys reading, martial arts, and teaching, and he cherishes time with his children. His favorite series include Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Berserk, and Poe's collected works.
