Hi, I'm Otabek Altin. I'm a male figure skater from Almaty, Kazakhstan. I took ballet classes in Russia, but, after being terrible, I quit. I learned there was no right way to skate. After that, I trained in America and Canada (where I met and became friends with Jean-Jacques Leroy), but I was finally able to return to Almaty last year. I qualified for the Grand Prix Finals this past year, and finished in fourth place. But I also made a new friend. The White Tiger of Russia, Yuri Plisetsky. I met him when I was thirteen, in ballet lessons. Yuri Plisetsky had the unforgettable eyes of a soldier. Our reunion was a bit funny. He was being chased by his fan club, Yuri's Angels. I rescued him with my motorbike, and the media proceeded to say I kidnapped him. But I took him out for tea, so it wasn't a big deal. Since Yuri always is around Viktor Nikiforov and Katsuki Yuuri, I got to know them quite well, among many other wonderful skaters. I can now easily say that these people are some of the best friends I've ever had.
