So just to say that some facts about these characters might be slightly altered in the books as they develop.

Violette Dawes is the prettiest, most beautiful young woman in the North Nile. Her hair is perfectly silky and blonde, her blue/purple eyes are wide and bright, her figure is perfect, her teeth are pure white. Most people would say she is perfect. 
          
          That's until she opens her mouth.
          
          Despite her beauty, Violette is very dumb, and doesn't even seem to know it. Her happiness sometimes overshadows her idiocy until she asks a question or has a bad answer to something.
          
          She is the only daughter of a rich lord who planned her and Prince Than's marriage from the very beginning. Violette and Than had always been best friends when they were younger, and soon began a relationship. Their marriage didn't have to be forced - they had fallen in love anyway. 
          
          But Violette was blind of what her 'prince charming' was really like. And a week before her marriage, she will discover something of her fiancé. Something that could prove that she might not be completely air-headed after all.

Marise Williams is a complete mystery. She has never spoke a word for as long as anyone can remember. The question is why.
          
          Even around her best friends she doesn't speak, which is strange since her closest friends know of her powers. 
          
          Her head is always hung down, showing her bouncy brown hair. Her ocean blue eyes which are rarely seen hint at her power to control water. Her skin is pale and cold.
          
          But what could be the secret she is hiding?

Lucien Thomas acts like any other 19-year-old: he has a normal job, normal hobbies, and a normal family. But the only thing which has ever made anyone think different is because of the golden glow surrounding him.
          
          This is because of his power: the power to create light. His entire family since the very beginning on the earth had possessed these powers, and created light itself. His family is more than normal - they are all important to the entire world.
          
          And just as you thought he was a normal boy living in Virginia, despite the golden glow, he is much more than that.
          
          Not only do his powers give him a glow, but they effect his appearance as well. He has light blonde hair and pale, smooth skin. His eyes are light grey and outlined with gold. He is not too thin nor too fat, not too weak nor too muscular. 
          
          He hides more than his powers as a secret; he also grows to like Brigid as they become best friends, but is too nervous to ask her if she feels the same way. The two of them have a brother and sister kind of relationship - caring but sharing banter with one another. But could that bloom into something more? 

Blaise Davidson is someone that nobody will ever want to mess with. He has advantages which are disadvantages to his enemies:
          
          *He has a feisty, fearless girlfriend.
          *He gets angry a lot.
          *He isn't afraid to fight someone.
          *He has fire powers.
          
          Blaise is Jerona's boyfriend, and they protect each other whenever in danger. Jerona is the only person that Blaise dosen't get agitated with. 
          
          The biggest mystery about Blaise is why he struggles to except the world. He constantly gets angry and violent over small things.
          
          However, when he is in a good place with good people, he can be his own person behind the anger; kind and funny.
          
          The reason he has fire powers is because his mother was in a fire and escaped while pregnant with him. It was a miracle they both survived.
          
          Fire doesn't effect him. He is always warm when you touch him. 
          
          His hair is coal black, and he has skin the colour of coffee. He is very tall, about 6ft, and skinny. 

Next character! 
          
          Jerona is the most loud-mouthed yet hilarious person you would ever meet. She, like Athlai and Brigid, has a hidden power - the power to create music.
          
          And that's not all; she can also control people's voices.
          
          Her hair is auburn and has one side slightly longer than the other. She also wears her favourite grey leather jacket studded with small fake diamonds.
          
          When she isn't speaking (which is very rare), Jerona likes to hum to herself. 
          
          Her boyfriend also has powers: the power to control and create fire. Though their relationship could be dangerous, Jerona doesn't care.
          
          Jerona's name means 'to sing and shout', which sums up her whole personality. She is mischievous, loud, and feisty, with a never-ending sense of humour. 

Now I introduce the villain of my story! *insert evil laugh here*
          
          Prince Than has a troubled background which he keeps as his deepest secret. 
          
          He shuts himself away from everyone in the palace, including his own father, King Charlie. But what did he do alone? 
          
          Destroyed from his past, Than plotted cruel things on his people and blaming his father for the suddenly corrupt system Than had created.
          
          Than has messy hair the colour of dark chocolate, which sometimes hides his charcoal coloured eyes. He is tall and slender, with no muscle.
          
          There is only one person who he truly loves on the planet. His fiancé. And she is also the only one to know of his past. But what could become of them when she discovers his father is not to blame?

Second character! ^_^
          
          Athlai Jones is 19, and older than Brigid by a few months. He was her best friend many years ago, until he disappeared, by using a power that he had hidden from his friends, his family and the world. 
          
          He once had ginger hair, but it is now dark blue and reaches to the sky. Another detail not to miss is his oval glasses, in front of mysteriously dark eyes, in which there are bright green numbers like a clock around the iris.
          
          He is smart and slightly quirky, and never seems to explain anything to Brigid. 
          
          His birthday is unknown. Forgotten. And so is Athlai. 

As promised, here is the first character I am going to introduce!
          
          Brigid Knight is a normal 18-year-old. In the peaceful, forgotten island of Shea, she runs a small trade stall in the market. Even though her job doesn't get her a lot of money, she still does all she can to keep her and her grandfather's house.
          
          Despite her being sweet, sour and sarcastic, Brigid is protective of the people around her ever since her best friend disappeared nine years ago on a cold November night.
          
          Her birthday is December 4th. She has hazel eyes and brown hair that is tied in front of her shoulder. 
          
          She is the main character of the story.
