The public authority of Jharkhand, under the National Food Security Act, gives a Ration card to residents all around the country who are qualified to buy food grains at a sponsored rate from the Public Distribution System. The Ration card is given by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. A Ration card is likewise utilized as a proof of ID for individuals holding it.
