Okay, I finished editing Enduring Ties, Liam and Cailan's backstory from the Ties series! It's nearly twice as long as the original. You can read it here:

          	Tapas: https://tapas.io/episode/2658758

          	AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27564391/chapters/67422418

I decided not to do a published version of it, or at least not yet. If it's the first book in the series to be available, it'll end up serving as an introduction to the series, and I don't think it does a good job of that. So I guess for now it's just kinda randomly the most polished book in this series.

          	Anyway, enjoy!

@ overlordpotatoe of course. But i am sure if it's one of your stories, it won't take long for them to find a non human travel companion that makes the situation a bit easier. Although they would surely see their fair share of trouble. Either way, I'm excited for what comes next.

overlordpotatoe

@wartiuwu That could definitely happen, especially now as the humans are starting to become more aware of what's over the border. Of course, there are a lot of things out there that are none too fond of humans...

@ overlordpotatoe that's true.
I suppose as long as you don't set any rules on what the fae can and can't do, this world has no rules to follow. I'm excited to see what will come out of that world next. I hope we'll see a human main character at some point. Maybe someone decides they are sick of the human territory and choose to explore what the world has to offer on the other side of the border.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I read your story "being wrong" 4 years ago and I haven't forgotten it since. It really helped me and It inspired me to write my own story. I really love reading your work and you're my favourite Author on Wattpad. Thank you so much for motivating me with your words :)

overlordpotatoe

@a-boy-who-likes-boys Thank you! Writing has definitely become something I've used to express my thoughts when it comes to autism, and that's been a journey in itself. I've written a handful of autistic characters at this point, and I feel like every time I do it there's a new perspective I want to take and new ideas I want to put into words. Autism is such a many layered thing and I feel like we're all kind of on our own in trying to figure it out. I am also just very charmed by my fellow autistics. I like describing the way an autistic character might move or talk.

@a-boy-who-likes-boys No I totally understand, Wattpad has some stuff they definitely need to work on. I'm very flattered that you responded to me at all cause even out of all of the people I'm sure you've inspired, your stories still felt so personal to me. At the time I read it I was just coming to terms with my sexuality and my autism and now that I'm all set with it and I'm working on my own stories I wanted to credit you personally for planting that early seed in my brain for writing. Your work is genuinely good and you deserve the praise you get. I don't really know that much about you as a person but I can tell you have an authentic and relatively aware understanding of the things you write about.

@a-boy-who-likes-boys It makes me happy to hear that my writing inspired you, and I'm very flattered that I'm your favourite Wattpad author! Sorry it took me a while to respond. Wattpad took a break from sending my email notifications, as it loves to do from time to time.

Just read It Takes Time and damn have you done it again! Another masterpiece (and tear jerker). Your books never fail to bring me a bit of peace after miserable day.

FearsomeQueersome

No worries! I just reread the last chapter of a Wall between and gah it’s as gorgeous as ever, kinda devastated it’s ended, but i’m honestly just glad it exists.

@FearsomeQueersome Thank you! I'm glad they're able to brighten your day a little bit. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Wattpad hasn't been doing email notifications for a bit.

hi i just wanted to say that i love your books as well as your representation of autism. i myself am autistic, and the relatability of the characters, the way they feel real and human, and their struggles, are written so well and has inspired me to write my own book.

i’m not self promoting, though, the book isn’t even published or on the internet. but it’s about an autistic boy named harvey who has to deal with a new school and not being diagnosed with autism yet. he doesn’t know what’s “wrong” with himself and yet he knows something is “wrong.” he is also queer and will struggle with trusting the right and wrong people. it’s inspired by your “being wrong” book, because i resonated so much with charlie’s character and how he deals with being autistic (even if he is undiagnosed for the majority of it.)

anyways yeah i love your books and you’re an amazing inspiration and writer, and i’d hope one day to own a physical copy of “being wrong” if you were ever to release one!! <3

overlordpotatoe

@aaaawill That's a lot of preparation!

@aaaawill Sorry I missed this! Wattpad wasn't sending me email notifications for a while and it took me a bit to notice (and then to think to check my profile messages for anything I may have missed).

I'm so happy to hear that my writing inspired you to write a book of your own, especially starring an autistic character! It's a perspective not everyone can offer and I think that's very valuable.

Hi, idk if I’m remembering correctly but there’s a book of yours that featured a man whose dad bought him a really young slave. He leaves to join the military so he’ll be able to take care of his slave. I can’t find it anymore for some reason

overlordpotatoe

@omgitsarese I'll be updating Does it Matter? over there whenever it updates. Everything else that's still a WIP is either not up there or I'm not really keeping up with posting.

@ overlordpotatoe are you still going to be updating is over at AO3?
Reply

overlordpotatoe

@omgitsarese Yup, that's one of mine! Wattpad took it down. Guess they didn't like the whole underage sex slave thing, even if there was no actual underage sex. I actually did a full re-edit of it. You can still read it on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27564391/chapters/67422418

I’ve just discovered and am already completely obsessed with your ‘ties series’ and saw that you do have a few of your books on Amazon Kindle, but I was wondering if you have any plans on publishing this specific series as paperback/hardcover?

marleenloves

@ Jink13sKate @overloardpotatoe same same , I would also love to have all your books in print actually, such treassures!! But so good to read there are some on Kindle
Reply

Jink13sKate

Ohh I didn’t know that! I love having physical copies of the books that have completely drawn me in and captivated me. However, knowing this now if/when you choose to publish an ebook I know I will be equally as excited!
Reply

overlordpotatoe

@Jink13sKate Thank you! I might do an edited ebook version at some point, but probably not a print version. It's tricky to format them and the print on demand services make it pricey, so not many people buy them. It makes me happy to know that you'd want them in print, though!
