          Olivia gasped, her hands scrambling to hold onto his back. “Oh my God!” She giggled loudly as he started to walk her away from the dance floor. “Logan, put me down.”

          "What are you doing over here all by yourself?" a familiar voice then asked, cutting through her peace.
          
          Olivia looked away from Remi Wolf on the stage, only to see that Logan had appeared next to her. He leaned his shoulder on the very same tree next to her, like it was the most natural thing in the world, so that he was facing her fully. Olivia became very hyper aware of his gaze on the side of her face. 
          
          "Recharging," Olivia answered. "Parties tire me out pretty quickly. My best friend Isa is around here somewhere, but she's a lot more outgoing than I am." She nodded to him. "What about you? Shouldn't you be with your friends?"
          
          Logan shrugged. "Decided I wanted to be here instead."
          
          Olivia raised her eyebrows. "You want to stand at a tree with me rather than hanging out with your friends? That sounds awfully boring."
          
          "You seemed lonely. Even if you are recharging, I want to keep you company. And you're not boring."
          
          She stared at him for a moment, thinking that over. "You don't even know me. How do you know I'm not boring?"
          
          "Olivia," Logan stated, tilting his head slightly, and if Olivia's eyes tracked the movement of his hair . . . well, that was between her and God. "Did you ever stop to think that I might want to talk to you to get to know you?"
          
          "Oh." Olivia blinked, her cheeks feeling warm. "I guess not."
