          Thanks so much for voting/ commenting on The Eridanus Files! I hope that you're enjoying the book, it's really encouraging to know that there are actual people out there reading my writing.  :P

MERRY CHRISTMAS, OR CHANUKAH, OR WHATEVER YOU PEOPLE CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There has been a major flooding from torrential rains in Chennai India and a lot of people have lost their homes and lives to the water. Chennai has been completely cut off from electricity because of all the water and people in hospitals have also suffered greatly. Many are in desperate need of immediate medical attention that they cannot receive because the hospitals are flooded or there is not enough equipment in proper condition that is needed. Many people are also experiencing a shortage of food because of the citywide shutdown. Not just that but 1500 people are stuck in the Chennai airport with no way home as the runways are completely flooded and the planes all wet. People are still unsure of what can be done to help Chennai recover, but as of right now the best thing is to try and raise awareness for the people affected. Take note that it is not just Chennai that has been hurt and other places have been hurt with overflow of rivers and lakes from the torrential rains.
