Lana del Rey, ice coffee and lipstick stains, that's me in 3 words .I also write love letters to fictional lovers , I'm failing math and my sleep schedule is messed up. An avid daydreamer, delusional, turn my emotions into art and I'm looking for something normal to say about myself. Reading has been a solace for me since I was 7, when our school librarian asked me to help organize a few bookshelfs as they had new arrivals and had let me pick a book to take home. It was a short biography of Helen Keller and I had absolutely fallen in love with the magic of words, how everything played out in my head, nothing seemed impossible. It became habitual, all my breaks were spent at the library and I recall my first experience feeling singled out when my friends failed to understand how I was able to read a book without pictures. I lost most of my friends as the years past , I wasn't cool enough for anyone.
But what stayed with me throughout was my passion for books , I went on to discover new genres that appealed to me ; comedy, romance and more recently, 90s crime thrillers.
It was in 8th grade when I began writing pieces of my own , after my English teacher asked me to read the essay I had written to my class , she told me I had a gift and i intended to explore it.
Fast forward today , I'm 16 and writing has become just as comforting to me as reading, I now write in every sphere, I don't restrict myself and very often i suprise myself with my art of word collaging. I draw inspiration from real life and explore a geometric flexibility to all the 'what ifs' and possibility.
I still don't have that many friends buts it's okay because i find the best company in literature. I'm the top achiever for English in all of my grade and now I want to share my magic with the word.
