Hey! I wanted to ask you something 😊 How did you originally find The Color of Music? Was it through one of the tags, the category/genre, a reading list, or did you just come across it somehow? I’m curious what actually led you to the story.

@Between_Pages Hey! The 30dc tag is how I found it. I was considering doing the challenge and then went to the profile and found some comments on the message board about how it was not as motivating as promised, and I believe either you had commented on there or I discovered your story through the tag, and figured I might offer the support I would appreciate as a writer. 😁😁 I hadn't expected it to be as enthralling and addicting as it was: but I am definitely rereading it in the future, haha

@CrystalCookie488 thank you for this offer but I am not your target audience. I do not enjoy black magic and demons in fiction. I prefer low fantasy: made up worlds, royalty, made up societies. Not magic. Thanks for the offer though, your synopsis and author bio seem well written: find your target audience and you'll get readers.

Update: So...been a little bit and BOY has it been interesting. Got Preeclampsia, got induced, and now I am a mother to an amazing baby boy! But then a week later ended up in the ER again with pneumonia. Just my luck, huh? But the first few chapters of FOULPLAY are going to be released Friday, August 7th! Hope you're excited!

@palomapiercewrites   Yes, I finished it completely  I even published two bonus chapters after the main ending.
            No pressure at all to catch up quickly, especially with everything you have going on. I’m just happy you still want to continue reading when you feel ready. Your comments always make me think about the story in a deeper way.

@palomapiercewrites I’m so glad you’re resting, and honestly, even small journaling counts. After everything your body went through, rest is productive too 
            And the fact that you already got a new story idea is amazing. Sometimes creativity comes back in tiny sparks before we even have the energy to fully use it. I really hope your recovery becomes easier from here, and I’m glad you’re giving yourself time.

WIP UPDATE #3: What I got done in FOUL PLAY this week:
          
          ★Finished Chapter 2
          ★Wrote Chapters 3-8
          ★Started Chapter 9
          ★Hit 10k in my rough draft (not counting outline and research words)
          ★More brainstorming for Act 2
          
          Future goals:
          ☆write chapters 9, 10, and 11
          ☆break act 2 up into chapters
          
          Change of Plans:
          
          I am pushing the pirate story and the princess and the thief story to next year. I want to spend the month of July doing a little challenge on FOUL PLAY, trying to write as many chapters/words as possible. I still want to start releasing FOUL PLAY chapters in August.
          
          I just knew if I had to slow down to outline two other stories besides FOUL PLAY, I wouldn't have enough time to actually write the chapters for Wattpad.
          
          Sorry for any inconvenience  :D

          How do you keep up with real life and also with posting chapters on Wattpad, keeping up with your Wattpad reads, and also interacting with your readers?
          
          Cause my real life is getting crazy in August. I'll be becoming a mom!!! Very exciting, but also why I need to speed draft these chapters before August because I'm sure once my little bundle of joy gets here I won't be writing that much! But I will be posting my prewritten chapters! =')
          
          Any advice?

WIP UPDATE #2: Even though I feel like I'm a little behind schedule, I got quite a bit done in FOUL PLAY this week:
          
          ★ Completely outlined Act 1
          ★ Acts 2 and 3 are brainstormed
          ★ Wrote the prologue and chapter 1
          ★ Started chapter 2

          With Tyranny and Salty Seas as a close second. ☠️YAY!☠️
          
          The Princess and the Thief dead last with NO VOTES. yay?

@palomapiercewrites  Okay, you convinced me a little about the K-drama feeling  I think I was afraid of the label because I didn’t want the story to feel too dramatic in an artificial way, but yes — K-dramas can be deeply character-driven, emotional, and beautifully structured. And if that kind of emotional depth works for this story, then maybe I shouldn’t be afraid of it.
            
            And thank you so much for being excited about the bonus author’s note  I think I really want to write it properly, because this story has a long history inside me.
            
            I’m sorry if updates slow down a little, though. I’ll complete this story after July 6, because right now I need to prepare for an important interview that is stressing me like hell  But the story is not abandoned. I’m still here, still writing, just trying to survive real life first.

@Between_Pages I dont know why you'd avoid the k drama feeling because it works so well for your story! K-drama is character driven and emotional and also, I feel like, they dive deeper than the typical, Inciting incident, rising action, climax, resolution of American shows and fiction. (And I live by that structure,, HAHA!) I just felt like I didn't have the patience for a series where there are 8 or so episodes,  each over an hour long. But for your story, the way you structure and pace it, it works beautifully and fits perfectly.
            
            If I was aiming for flawless, I wouldn't have a single chapter written!
