BUT I could have been warned that my comment was racist before being called names. I have been inactive for half a year or more, so I haven't seen the comments. When I opened the comment section today and saw all those people calling me sick, disgusting, threatening to report me and so on, I wanted to delete not only my comment, but also my account. If someone would have explained me the comment was racist, I would have apologised and deleted it. But I don't think I said what I said meaning to hurt someone. My culture has people of the same race only and we are not taught about racism, ableism or homophobia. I had to teach myself those things through social media. Still, not being educated to be mindful about those things makes it harder for me to realize what is racist and what is not. To be honest, a year ago before my foreign friends told me how Asian people are treated in foreign countries, I wouldn't have thought my comment was racist. Now I see how it is racist and I apologise to you all. I also apologise for whatever hurtful things I might have said in the past. I decided to stop commenting on books. I am sure I will make mistakes again in the future and I don't want to hurt anybody with my jokes and sarcasm.
