CRAPPY STARTER BECAUSE BOREDOM:
It was barely noon and already, the streets were bustling with noble carriages and street urchins alike. Tall buildings, meticulous in design, towered over the city creating jagged shadows that reached out like hungry fingers. Papers scattered the cobbled sidewalks and despite being cast out, still did their job in delivering revolutionary propaganda. However, the city didn’t need the papers to do that job--all around, disgruntled civilians were protesting in large masses.

A heavy and low-sweeping song of cathedral bells resonated from the Basilica of Saint-Denis. Denzient pigeons scattered out of the nooks and crannies of the building, their alarmed cries barely noticeable over the buzz of city life. City life just so happened to smell of horse dung but with the right wind and careful maintenance, the floral aspects made a more significant impact.

Elise, having ditched yet another tutoring session, found herself admiring the Templar jurisdiction she was born to inherit as Grand Master. Everything from the carefully trimmed hedges to the poorly boarded up windows of run down establishments. The young Knight easily scaled an exaggerated storefront boasting women’s wear to get a better view. Having done so, she was able to survey almost everything within reason.

It was a pleasant alternative to studying history with a man who had such a dreadfully boring monotone for a voice. Or at least it was, until the thud of boots landed on a neighboring rooftop barely within earshot. Elise discovered at a young age about the troubles that plagued her beloved city, and they ran far deeper than poverty or shifting governments. True terror belonged to that of the Assassins, but Elise was no coward. “You would do best to state your intentions, stranger…” Her hand hovered at her belt, begging to pull her firearm and formally disengage from the matter.

@SassyFrye Assassin. Templar. Pah. They've got enough dogma for ten thousand churches and twice as much misguided belief.
