Hi, 

It's been a while since I have actively used Wattpad and I have forgotten some of the ways how this app works. 

More than a few years ago,  I was actively writing stories that were more mature than I should have been writing at that age. This can be seen through various ways, for instance, the grammar. 

I forgot about these stories up until today. Worried about what I wrote, I instantly unpublished everything and decided to read through one of my stories that I was most worried about. Unfortunately, I was right to worry. While reading through the beginning one of the story, I was absolutely mortified to see some of the language I used, specifically the slurs. During that time, I did not know better and was in an environment where I was being exposed to this type of behaviour. 

I am extremely sorry for having used that language, that I should not have been using. It may have been written years ago, but that doesn't get rid of what was done. I apologize for having done so. 

I'll also like to apologize for the misogyny that was included in the stories. That should've been handled better, and not written in that manner. 

To avoid making these horrific mistakes again, I will be trying to educate myself on social issues, and learning about the history of oppression. If there any book recommendations, documentaries, podcasts, that will help in doing so, please send a message or add it on the conversation board. Thank you.
