as an azula stan, ppl need to stop hating on her :'( like she's just a girl who was severely neglected, manipulated, and traumatized and deserved better from her shit parents. yes I blame the mom too because she always treated azula like a lost cause and literally fucking left both azula and zuko at the hands of ozai, which as she knew was a twisted ass man and she just decided to save herself and not her kids. wtf hg.  and the mom's treatment of azula is ironic bc ozai always treated her as an honorable prodigy who'll redeem the family, and she was thought of as the salvation of the family after the incident with zuko. I'm surprised the pressure didn't break her sooner, so I think her breakdown was a) justified and b) needed for her to self actualize so she doesn't have to be perfect all the time. she's literally just a traumatized girl and I adore her so much. her perfectionism and preferring fear to love is just so sad, and she doesn't even think her friends value or like her. none of her behavior is her fault, just a direct result of her upbringing and the way she was taught. I could rant more but I'm not going to, moral of the story is if ur an azula hater, hop the fuck off and never speak to me again.
