@wildandrelentless that's happened to me a lot, so I go to correct then and they start either feeling guilty that they've spelt it wrong or they have a go at me. And I'm like sorry it's not my fault you got it wrong or didn't ask how to spell my name that's your problem, it can be quite funny sometimes 

@PlcSmlnrs my grandma thought that my name was spelt with a C everyone else spells it with a Y

So it's nice to find someone who spells it the same way
