okay, so hi!
          i am SO sorry for being inactive, i’ve been going through a bit of a tough time and i’ve been quite busy as well. 
          
          i’m going into my third-last year of school in 2026, so my workload will increase a lot this year, but i’m going to try to write a bit more.
          
          also, i’m finding quite a rhythm for songwriting! so once i’m able to get instagram again when i’m 16 in 2027, i’ll start posting covers and all that.

          I AM MANIFESTING TICKETS OMG

guess what!! dress rehearsal was so much fucking worse.
          
          first of all, our school finishes at 3:10, and the latest we could be at the theatre was at 4. so that was a push. i have naturally very curly hair, so when i got home from school, i jumped in the shower, got my hair wet, then went straight to rehearsal.
          
          we had 3 hours before the run of the show was supposed to start, and everything went pretty well up till then, when the drummer and bass player didnt fucking turn up, which set us back about half an hour while we waited for them to get there.
          
          act 1 went okay, but honestly SO MUCH FOR THE FULL RUN because they stopped the damn show every time something went even mildly wrong.
          
          as for act 2... things were shit. they turned off the lights after a song but there was supposed to be a scene after the song so then we couldnt go on for the scene and it was furstrating as hell, and then we ran out of time so we only got to scene 5 of act 2. this meant i could not do the finale, which means when we open tomorrow ill be absolutely winging a HARDCORE DANCE in STILETTO HEELS and an OFF THE SHOULDER DRESS

wow. tech rehearsal was interesting.
          
          it was a dress rehearsal for the leads, which meant i got to get all ready in my green eye makeup and costumes! we were attempting to do a full run...
          
          the opening was fine, but on any sunday fell apart a little bit, nothing we can't fix. the girl gets around was phenomenal because the guy who sings it finally locked in! i can't stand still was the same situation. we had a lot of stops around somebody's eyes which was fair enough. the wheels started to fall off toward the end of learning to be silent, but we pulled it together for holding out for a hero. we really need to clean up 'somebody's eyes reprise' but again we can fix it. the guy who sings 'heaven help me' absolutely devoured, and then the wheels fully fucking fell off in the act 1 finale which is called i'm free (heaven helps the man). 
          
          anyway, an update on the other stuff:
          
          the stage manager is still sick, our leading guy remembered his solo song and ate it up, the finale dresses are assigned mostly now, our director had now had three breakdowns, the set still isn't structurally sound, our choreographer didn't turn up so nothing else has been changed, and the theatre is getting fuller by the second
          
          tomorrow we have one last rehearsal... and it better be good

footloose bump in is done!!! our set looks phenomenal and i have my finale dress now and my dress is green and off the shoulder and low as shit but it looks good so i'm happy!!!!!!!!
          
          on the other hand, though, i am so nervous. i feel unprepared, but i'm pretty prepared (i think), and i think i feel unprepared because the other cast members are unprepared. our stage manager is sick, our leading guy forgot his solo song and choreography, most of the dresses for the finale are unassigned, our director has had two breakdowns, the set isn't structurally sound just yet, our choreographer keeps changing things, and we have a very full theatre for opening in four days time
