Heyyyyy people!!! As you all already know by now, I just published a new poetry book and here's why you should read it!! Let me tell y'all a little bit about my inspiration: 
          
          I wrote this book because silence was getting too comfortable.
          
          Because Nigeria is loud, but many of us are still not heard. Because we laugh loudly but bleed quietly. Because love here is practical, faith is complicated, joy is stubborn, and pain often learns to disguise itself as strength— it's the worst. 
          
          This book is for anyone who has ever loved without language, believed with doubt, given with empty pockets, or survived things they were never taught how to name. It is for Nigerians who recognize themselves in the slang, the struggle, the small mercies—and for non-Nigerians who want to understand a country beyond headlines and hashtags.
          
          These poems are not trying to impress you. They are trying to tell the truth. About church and money. About women and silence. About men and softness. About teenagers fighting quiet wars. About polygamy, loneliness, compassion, addiction, joy, and the stubborn will to keep going.
          
          I am not an outsider looking in. I am inside the dust, the questions, the hope. This book comes from watching people closely, loving them honestly, and refusing to pretend that everything is fine when it isn’t.
          
          Read this if you want to feel seen.
          Read this if you want to understand.
          Read this if you believe poetry should sound like real life—messy, funny, painful, tender, and still full of light.
          
          This is not a love letter.
          But it is love.
