Hello, my loves, it's been ages! What, a year and a half? Two?
The first thing I wanted to say is: you're out of your mind, 21K VIEWS on First Name Terms??? I love seeing how you were all so invested. Plot-wise, I really liked it too; I had some good ideas and the friend group dynamic was HILARIOUS. But now I read it and I cringe at how it's written; my writing has gotten much better (thank god). Anyway, I wanted to thank you all for that.
Second and VERY IMPORTANT announcement: I have officially finished writing "Locked Legacies" (yes, i've been doing that during my whole disappearance, and well, i was also busy finishing high school and getting through my first semester of college). This time, everything is 100% original. It's actually kinda outside of my comfort zone; it's a fantasy YA. It has a special place in my heart, not only bc it's my first original but also cause it deals with (what I think is) the universal experience that is grief. The characters, in my opinion, have a beautiful development, and I've grown pretty fond of them.
If you like that kind of thing, go check it out. There's romance, friends, siblings, parents, mysteries, parts in which I laughed at the jokes I wrote myself, and bits in which I bawled my eyes out. Maybe I'm biased because I'm the one that wrote it (though I don't usually go easy on myself), but I think it's a beautiful story that teaches an important lesson and, hopefully, resonates with those who have grieved at some point in their lives.
Anyway, I've only posted a couple of chapters, but I have already finished the whole book (i'm doing a light round of editing rn, publishing as i go). i wanna submit it to the wattys, so it'll probably be ready in a day or two.
I'm also writing ANOTHER book! I haven't started publishing the chapters yet, but I will as soon as I finish with Locked Legacies. It's an enemies-to-lovers YA (i'm having so much fun with it, istg)
