Unrelated to writing… ouch.

Chapter Eleven: Just when It Was Getting Good of BCV is out now!

penaray

You know what’s hard? I’m writing two novels right now, right? I’ve got BTCD and the MC there uses archaic words and metaphors and such. Coal is just a modern day high schooler with a fairly average vocab. Switching between those two voices is so hard. I feel like the voice in this chapter isn’t right and I’ve been trying to fix it, but I think I made it sound bland instead. Aaaauuuggghhhh.

I’m not very proud of it tho and I’m not sure what else to do with it. Oh well.

OKAY so update hopefully coming soon! I’ve hit a bit of a writer’s block and I’ve been trying to figure out how to work out this scene.

ALSO MORE IMPORTANTLY: Ya’ll remember Flaming Spark? (NO SPOILERS) he’s an upcoming character in BCV… Anyway, I’ve never really cared for his name, so I’m changing it to Flare.
If there is another superhero book here on Wattpad with a hero or villain character named Flare please please please please do not tell me because it took me a hot minute to figure out his new name and I kinda like it so I don’t want to have to change it again… (but that being said… do tell me because I do not want to plagiarize) anyway hopefully coming out with a chapter today or tomorrow!

Augh guys I was really hoping to get another chapter out today but I’m still recovering from that illness and I went into town today (JUST FOR ONE HOUR) and I am drained and feel sick all over again. So yeah.

New blurb for Big City Villain!

He's a villain, and he's proud of it. Coal Black worked hard to achieve his bad boy persona on a super level. Literally.

Seventeen and facing the normal challenges of high school, Coal must also deal with a superpower ban and a couple brand new villains bent on ridding King City of every last superhero, starting with his twin brother, Ben (Mister Tightie-Whitey. AKA: Anti-Gravity).

With a chance to seek revenge on the very organization that tortured and placed him under his ban, Coal must decide which side he actually stands with. All without, of course, revealing his secrets that could quite literally bring all of King City to its knees. But where would the fun be if there weren't any stakes?

ALERT! Hey ya’ll! Sorry for the hiatus! Quick question: what are your thoughts in the revamped version of BCV? Anything you like or don’t like? Anything you want to see more of or less of? Please let me know!

I know what I want to write. I do desire to write. But I am so creatively blocked it’s not even funny. I just sit here and stare at my three projects and feel completely uninspired to write in any of them. I’m trying to push through it with the only project that has some type of momentum and hope that it’ll transfer over to the other two projects. Unfortunately, the project that has some momentum right now is not the revamped version of BCV, and it’s not even book two of the Legend’s tril. It’s a rewrite of a book I once shared here on Wattpad. It’s not coming back to Wattpad, but at least I’m still writing something, right? I hate it when I’m creatively blocked.

I guess I did rant about it in my own way.

Also some issues are weighing heavy on me and I think that is also contributing to the creative block. I could rant about it but I don’t think there are strong enough words in the English language to fully convey the intensity of how I feel about a particular issue. On the upside, I haven’t resorted to my usual reaction of cutting off all contact with said issue. Even though I want to. There is some sort of closure deleting information and wiping the slate so completely clean it no longer includes a trace of the issue. But doing that isn’t the answer to this, and would only make it worse.
