First off, I'd like to apologize for my disappearance on this platform. I feel horrible about it, I really do. Every day I get notifications of people adding this story to their reading lists, or comments about how people loved the first chapter, and truly it makes me feel like a terrible person. I'd like to explain myself. As you guys know, I'm an author. I've been writing for well over five years now, and I have a lot of half-worked concepts and OC's (original characters) I'd like to write about. This is my second "big book" I've ever tried writing out, and while I love this story and its characters so deeply, my priorities have belonged to the first one recently. I'm writing is with one of my best friends, and she doesn't know about Wings Of Shadows and Flames at all. Therefore, she ends up taking a lot of my time for writing up with my other book. Basically, we've been working super hard to get the first draft of that book done since it's been in the workings for a little over a year now. It's kind of our baby. However. We're coming up on the last set of chapters for the first draft, which means I have a lot more time to write WOSAF. With this in mind, I will be returning to work on it again. But, unfortunately, since writing the first few chapters, I've read a lot more on how YA Fiction works and I really want to include more elements into the story than I have currently. Problem is, since I jumped into writing WOSAF straight away, there's a lot of stuff I would've put into my earlier chapters that I didn't think about at the time. So I'll be taking the story down, spending a few days re-working it, and then publishing the first chapter again sometime in the next two weeks. I know, "more waiting?!", but I really want to take my time and get this right for you guys. Thank you for understanding and reading this, - Author Out
