I was planning on having around 35 chapters for “Accidental Roommates” as I personally prefer reading books with long and fewer chapters.

What are your thoughts on it?

Do you guys like long and fewer chapters or short and more chapters?

peoniesgrin

@_melsbooks that’s a fair point! whatever feels good to read is always appreciated <3

_melsbooks

@peoniesgrin I think 35 chapters is good. but I also think it’s up to you as the writer, how many you feel fits and works for your story, no pressure on us to tell you what should work or not work.

for me, on how many I prefer reading, I don’t mind reading both at times. I think it depends on if the story interests me for me to keep reading it.

Do you guys like reading/writing books in third person pov or first person pov?

I feel quite comfortable writing in first person as that allows me to expose the main character’s feelings in more depth! But I love reading a third person pov book that’s quite detailed and well-written!

chroniclesoftatiana

@peoniesgrin It depends. I've written both kinds of POV. But I use third person when I want to highlight the setting and other characters, especially if there are multiple side characters that I don't want to just be tossed aside. Pretty useful when it's a drama or coming of age, I find. When I write chicklit, I do first person because it kinda feels more natural!

peoniesgrin

@_melsbooks yesss I feel like either way, if the book is well-written, the pov doesn’t matter

@peoniesgrin Hi, I'm good, enjoying leisurely mornings now that my daughter's on summer break but that also means less time to read and write :(

Hi guys.

So after reading @HeidiCarroll’s message board, I realized my book “The Summer Affair” has been plagiarized and published on a mirror site called “Teen Fic Net.” Even her books are being mirrored on that site.

I would request you all to report it and it would be helpful if you tell me how to get it down from that site.

If you find my book outside Wattpad, kindly report.

_melsbooks

@peoniesgrin same, I’ll hope for the best

peoniesgrin

@_melsbooks yea hopefully this gets resolved let’s hope for the best

_melsbooks

@peoniesgrin I know, i’m not surprised by this happening. it isn’t new for these type of sites to plagiarize wattpad books. I have heard from another writer that wattpad is working on it, so hopefully this can be solved soon
