I began creative writing in 2013 and have since written nine stories and one novel. I'm now finalizing a fourth draft of the novel, which I began two years ago, incorporating feedback from friends, and wondering whether to begin the arduous process of writing book proposals and sending them into the conventional publishing channel.

I have written professionally my entire career as a technology analyst with 180 published articles and reports. Creative writing, though, happens in a different world. But at least my grammar is decent.

Bianca Bosker's excellent story in the December 2018 issue of the Atlantic, "Crowdsourcing the Novel," led me to this site. I've decided to see if I can plant myself here and grow some roots, submitting content, and learning from others how they attract and please their readers.

A recent story I have had published is here: https://columbiainsight.org/fire-and-eclipse/.
