A Mother of Two that has been writing stuff long before they were born, but never had a reason to share my stories with others.
Everyday Life is filled with worries. Which bill can be put off until next payday? Do I have enough to get the things needed to fix dinner tonight?
Being a Mother doesn't mean there is a man in the picture.

Picked up my baby girl(15yrs old) from school the other day. Got home to park it in the driveway. First came smoke from under the hood soon followed by flames.
"What do we do Mom?" My daughter asks after screaming fire.
"Get your things out." I barked trying to remember where the fire extinguisher is and praying he didn't take it when he moved out.

Grabbing groceries out of the trunk praying I find the extinguisher quickly in the house cause if the car explodes it's going to take the house with it. Cursing myself for filling the tank up earlier.

"Found it!" Now got to figure out how it works by the time I get out the door. Do fire extinguishers have an expiration date? Stuff is coming out. Isn't it suppose to be a foam? Why is the stuff coming out look like a powder? Is it cause it's an extinguisher for kitchen fires that mostly tend to be oil based fires? I was taught to put out kitchen fires with flour so maybe that is why the stuff looks like a powder.

No explosion, No more flames, No more smoke coming out from under the hood. Laid down on the ground to point the hose up in the engine direction and spayed some more to make sure. Sat down on the porch steps with the extinguisher to think about things while watching to see if any more smoke was going to come out from under the hood.

What am I going to do? I can bum rides to town for a while, the school will be out in a couple of days, got three months before school starts again.

Went in search for the box full of notebooks I put away before I had my kids. It had become a rat's nest.

Oh well, here is to see where I land.
